Colonia Del Sacramento, Uruguay.

Last year, in August 2019, I've visited for 3 days the city of Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay.

I was originally spending 2 weeks in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I planned to visit a friend and to enjoy the cultural lifestyle of "the Paris of South America". However, my friend and I decided to cross the river that separates Argentina from Uruguay: El Rio de la Plata. That's how Uruguay became the 32nd country in the world I've visited. There are daily cruisers doing the shuttle from Buenos Aires, Argentina to Montevideo, and Colonia del Sacramento, Uruguay.

The city of Colonia del Sacramento is renowned for its historic town and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's easy to walk around the city. I loved walking next to the water during sunset, and then, heading into the old town with its small streets built of stones, with bars and coffee, but still in a quiet atmosphere.

For this photo series, I decided to use Black & White and I dedicated it, again, to the street... It has already been printed on 4" x 6" (10 x 15cm) series and is available for purchase.
