From Newcastle, Australia to Six-Fours Les Plages, France.
Updated: Feb 3, 2021
In March 2020, I decided to go for 2 weeks on holiday in my hometown (Six-Fours Les Plages). I didn't come back for 2 years and I started to miss it. Consequently, I booked a flight from March 10th to March 24th.
On my way from Newcastle Train Station to my home in Six-Fours Les Plages, I used my old Ricoh 35 ZF filled with Kodak 400 film to document this trip. It was my first travel with a film camera, and I've learned so much.
As you know, during this period the world was facing the Covid-19 pandemic. On March 17th France has entered in national lockdown that didn't allow me to take my flight back to Newcastle. A few weeks later, Australia has started to lock his borders and forced me to stay in France for an undetermined period. We are now almost 3 months after my flight home, and I am still stuck.
